A virtual weekend away at Hamilton Island

This probably falls in the ‘Just for Fun’ category, but this week I had a pleasant little interlude courtesy of Hamilton Island.

My virtual trip to the Whitsundays started at 7am, with a limo-transfer to “Hamilton Island” for the day. Hamilton Island was relocated for the day to Ivy Penthouse, where I was met 45 minutes later by a Qantas pilot who handed me my boarding pass (1A) and ushered me upstairs.

A pleasant 30-minute massage follows, I’m handed a glass of bubbles, a plate of tropical fruit and yummy little offerings on teeny tiny toast. And then, my virtual trip begins. Check it out – pretty funny watching my head spin around as I watch my 360 degree virtual world.
